I found True love!!!

Yep, I sure did. And believe it or not, I didn't have to look very far. It's been in front of my face my whole life. A love that has had it's ups and downs. A love that is TRULY unconditional. A love that Noah and Allie might be a little jealous of.

How could I not see it? The simple gestures. The kind words. The oh so loving glances. The unspoken "I love yous". Truly a love orchestrated by none other than God himself.

This true love has gone on A LOT longer than I thought. Before I was even a glimmer in my mother's eye. And if you had told me 15 years ago about finding this true love today, I would have laughed in your face.

Now, I know...you want to know who, and where, and most importantly, how...

Calm down...

When: August 3
Where: Justice of the Peace
What: the beginning of a BEAUTIFUL love story.

Yep...it happened...a love like none other. He, 3 years her senior, showed up on her doorstep and said "I'm leaving tomorrow. You can come with me, or stay here. But if you stay here, you'll never see me again." She, not knowing what the future held, but knowing she wanted to be with him, said ok."

The next morning, unbeknownst to her family, she took a step into uncharted territories, with the man she loved. Very unsure of everything, but knew with every fiber of her being that he was her future.

On August 3, 1973, they said "I do". And today, my parents celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary. Despite the trials, the many many MANY trials, they have overcome so much. The love they share is one that I aspire to have in my own life someday. Truly unconditional love at its finest.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails."
